This hippotherapy mentoring circle is a novel attempt at connecting professionals working in a variety of settings that incorporate hippotherapy into their practice. This introductory meeting will focus utilize a discussion board and up to 90minute guided chat. The intended audience is therapists interested in developing their intervention skills and clinical reasoning related to hippotherapy and equine assisted therapy. The facilitator will assist the circle members in utilizing their combined energies and experiences to help one another go beyond what any member knows or contributes as an individual. The benefit of mentoring circles is that they generate many different perspectives rather than a single point of view. Topics for discussion during the guided chat may be posted on the discussion forum prior to 7pm EST on December 20th, 2010. Videos of treatment sessions for review may be shared via facebook (Horses Can Help) or YouTube.
This introductory meeting and chat will be FREE.
